FAQ

・ THE ACTIVES ・

Every Lordesskin formulation is built on a foundation of clinically proven active ingredients concentrated vitamins, antioxidants, AHAs, BHAs and peptides that work at both the epidermis and dermis level to visibly transform the skin. Here’s what’s inside your ritual, and why it works.

Vitamin A — Cell Renewal

The most celebrated anti-ageing ingredient in skincare. Vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate) promotes cell turnover, improves skin tone, unclogs pores and thickens the dermis to slow the formation of wrinkles while stimulating collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin. One of four retinoid derivatives, Retinyl Palmitate is the gentlest form, making it suitable for almost all skin types. Suitable for all skin types.

Vitamin B3 — Niacinamide

A powerhouse multi-tasker. Niacinamide helps manage acne, rosacea, pigmentation and wrinkles while strengthening the skin barrier and evening complexion. Vegan.

Vitamin B5 — Panthenol

A skin miracle. Provitamin B5 deeply hydrates, improves softness and elasticity, enhances barrier function and delivers significant healing and regenerating properties. It also plays a key role in rejuvenating sun-damaged skin improving texture, tone, reducing hyperpigmentation and softening fine lines and wrinkles. Vegan.

Vitamin C — L-Ascorbic Acid

A multipurpose powerhouse. Vitamin C promotes collagen production, thickens the dermis, diminishes fine lines and protects skin cells from free radical damage caused by UV exposure. Celebrated for its ability to brighten, even tone and reduce visible signs of ageing. Vegan.

Vitamin E — Tocopherol

A naturally derived antioxidant oil found in avocados, almonds and olive oil. Vitamin E blocks free radicals, replenishes lipids and helps slow the skin’s ageing process reducing fine lines and wrinkles and keeping skin looking youthful and nourished. Vegan.

Hyaluronic Acid

Naturally produced by the body, Hyaluronic Acid is responsible for the skin’s plumpness and volume. Acting like a sponge, it can attract and retain up to 1,000 times its own weight in water making it one of the most effective hydrating ingredients in skincare. As the skin’s natural production declines with age, supplementing with Hyaluronic Acid restores moisture balance, smooths texture and improves firmness, suppleness and radiance. Vegan.

Glycolic Acid — AHA

The most common alpha hydroxy acid, derived from sugar cane. Glycolic Acid provides significant exfoliation, treating a wide range of skin concerns from uneven texture and pigmentation to acne thanks to its antimicrobial properties and ability to accelerate cell renewal.

Lactic Acid — AHA

Derived from lactose, Lactic Acid is a gentle yet effective AHA known for its exfoliating and anti-ageing benefits. Ideal for improving skin texture, hydration and tone.

AHAs & BHAs — Exfoliation Explained

Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) are water-soluble acids that peel away the skin’s surface to reveal fresher, more evenly pigmented skin beneath. Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) penetrate deeper into the pore. Both are highly effective methods of deep exfoliation reducing inflammation, minimising pores, evening skin tone, improving texture, removing dead skin cells and preventing acne. Neither is “better” than the other; the right choice depends on your skin’s needs.

Peptides

Short chains of amino acids that act as messengers in the skin — triggering collagen and elastin production, reducing inflammation and locking in hydration. Lordesskin formulations feature some of the most advanced peptide complexes available:

  • DermaPeptide stimulates fibroblast proliferation, increasing cellular metabolism and collagen synthesis for a visible reduction in wrinkles and improved skin tone and smoothness.
  • Snake Peptide a synthetic tripeptide that mimics the effect of Waglerin 1 (Temple Viper venom), reducing muscle contraction frequency to diminish the appearance of expression lines.
  • Matrixyl Syntheʼ6 a powerful anti-wrinkle peptide that boosts six skin-rebuilding essentials: Collagen I, II and IV, Fibronectin, Hyaluronic Acid and Laminin 5 reversing visible signs of ageing at a structural level.
  • Argireline (Acetyl Hexapeptide-8) nicknamed “Botox in a jar”, this plant-derived peptide inhibits nerve-to-muscle signals to limit subtle facial expressions and visibly reduce wrinkles over time.

Marine Collagen

A premium source of Type 1 Collagen the most abundant collagen in the body and the key building block for skin elasticity and firmness. Marine Collagen has long been celebrated for its skin-enhancing benefits, supporting a plumper, more resilient complexion.
